B & S Blacksmiths
Hand Forged Metalwork
by Ben Fraser and Sarah Blunden
B&S Blacksmiths are Ben Fraser and Sarah Blunden. They met as mature students at Plumpton College whilst re-training in their respective fields. Ben is a former Royal Marine Commando and studied level 3 Traditional Blacksmithing. Sarah is a former chef and studied a foundation degree in Creative Metalwork, resulting in an ideal collaboration of traditional meets contemporary ironwork.
Ben & Sarah undertake all aspects of metalwork including hand-forged decorative sculpture, traditional gates and railings, household and garden items, welding and copper work.
They carry out live forging demonstrations at various shows and events throughout the year including medievel re-enactment at Arundel castle. They have works on display at Sussex Prairie Gardens near Henfield and exhibited their whimsical Pea Pod Archway at the Amberley Museum Sculpture Trail in 2020.
You can find them hard at work in their workshop at Stanmer Park Craft Museum, Brighton
